New mobilization of delivery people throughout France this weekend to denounce their working conditions. They work for Uber Eats, Delivroo, Stuart, Glovo…. In Besançon, a rally was held on Place Pasteur this Sunday afternoon. Difficult dilemma for these workers, who must choose between continuing their mission to receive a decent salary and mobilize themselves to hope to obtain much better working conditions. Some admit that their working conditions are deteriorating. They denounce this situation, but, for financial reasons, cannot afford to go on strike.
However, some have decided to take action and put down their bikes this Sunday afternoon. They regret the low rate of participation in this Sunday action, when 95% of the workforce was mobilized last November. They believe that it is by leading this social struggle that they will improve their daily lives. It is thus requested: an increase in the minimum price of deliveries, a guaranteed hourly minimum, the regulation of recruitments, the end of the rating system and a fairer disconnection protocol.
Currently, 80% of the employees of these brands earn their living only from this work. The strikers are unanimous on this point: “working conditions have deteriorated for several years. There are more and more delivery people entering the market and they are earning less and less ”.
