A local incumbent judge was caught by the police on a business trip to Seoul and engaged in prostitution in broad daylight on weekdays.
The Suseo Police Station in Seoul announced that it sent without detention a man in his 40s who is an incumbent judge at a local court on charges of violating the Sex Trafficking Punishment Act.
Judge A is accused of prostitution by paying 150,000 won to Mr. B, a woman in her 30s whom he met through a condition meeting application at a hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 22nd of last month at around 4:00 pm.
The police caught B as a red-handed criminal in a hotel room at around 6 pm on the same day while working undercover to crack down after receiving a tip that ‘there is a lot of prostitution at certain times in hotels around Gangnam’.
Afterwards, the police identified the identity of Judge A, who had already left the hotel.
Judge A admitted to prostitution in a police investigation, and was reported to have stated that he was on a business trip to Seoul at the time.
