The Parents’ Council of the Schwarzenburg community draws up an annual plan with the recommended routes to school, as the community writes in a statement. This recommendation is based on criteria and assessments by the members of the parents’ council and on discussions with the cantonal police traffic instructor. In response to the merging of all kindergarten classes into the Schlossgasse school complex in the summer of 2019, the local council decided to have the parents’ council’s route to school recommendation reviewed more closely.
During this review, six areas with the greatest risk and conflict potential were examined together with a safety expert from the Advice Center for Accident Prevention (bfu). The local council has approved a supplementary loan of 24,000 francs to improve school route safety in the Schlossgasse, Wyssthanweg and Herrengässli areas.
Civil Engineering and Environment Department
To support the construction department in the areas of civil engineering and the environment, external mandates are needed to bridge the vacant positions. The local council has approved an additional loan of 84,000 francs for this purpose.
Sensetal fig
In collaboration with Ara Sensetal, the controls for the wastewater systems have been constantly modernized over the past few years. Regular maintenance and inspections of rain retention basins, small sewage treatment plants and pumping stations by trained specialists are essential to protect groundwater and avoid incidents.
The local council has approved the collaboration with Ara Sensetal, which ensures that these investments are sustainably protected and that the systems can be operated efficiently and without disruption.
Albligen waste collection site and drainage renovation
There is a waste disposal collection point for the village population in the parking area of the former community center in Albligen. The fractions are collected in special containers or skips and disposed of by third-party companies.
However, the existing storage no longer complies with today’s guidelines and requires mandatory structural adjustments to the site drainage. The local council has approved an additional loan of 15,000 francs to ensure the continued operation of the disposal collection point.
After the renovation, the villagers of Albligen can continue to dispose of green waste, used glass, clothes and coffee capsules at the collection point. The collection facilities for waste oil and tinplate fractions will be abolished.
