This year marks the tenth anniversary of the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative. Over the past decade, local cooperation has become an important basis for two-way, multi-level and all-round cooperation among countries building the Belt and Road Initiative.

Over the past ten years, Chinese local governments and enterprises have actively participated in practical cooperation in various fields such as infrastructure, economy, trade, and science and technology, and achieved fruitful results.

As the leading city in China’s economy, Shanghai uses its own advantages to actively carry out local cooperation and promote high-quality development of the “Belt and Road” construction with the goal of “high standards, sustainability, and benefiting people’s livelihood”.

On the Mekong River in central Cambodia, the Grotchima Bridge, built by a Shanghai company, spans both sides of the river and has become a “people-benefiting bridge” connecting the two ends of the bridge, Stentlang County, Kampong Cham Province and Grotchima County, Thebunkhmun Province. Located on the eastern border of Kazakhstan, the China-Kazakhstan International Industrial New City Park is only 5 kilometers away from China’s Horgos Port and covers an area of ​​45 square kilometers. Xiamen companies participated in the construction. In the future, this park will become an important distribution center for China’s high-tech and advanced manufacturing enterprises in Kazakhstan.

In the past ten years, Hainan has continued to unblock air trade channels with an “Aerial Silk Road” that has grown from scratch and grown stronger. It has more opportunities to cooperate with countries co-building the “Belt and Road” and has also made this ancient maritime silk road The island where the road stops and supply stations take on a new look.

Over the past decade, the Belt and Road Initiative has become a popular global public good and international cooperation platform.

Currently, there are more than 3,000 “Belt and Road” cooperation projects, driving nearly a trillion US dollars in investment, creating “national landmarks”, “people’s livelihood projects” and “cooperation monuments” one after another, and injecting strong impetus into the development of the joint construction of the country.
