Three high-profile clubs are said to be interested in the Norwegian international: Eintracht Frankfurt, Hertha Berlin and VfL Wolfsburg, according to reports from Germany.
However, Southampton’s stance on Elyounoussi is still unknown after his productive season at Celtic in 2020/21, where he scored 17 goals and provided 8 assists in 45 appearances. This may lead Southampton to retain him and make him part of the club’s future plans alongside Danny Ings. His contract with the Saints expires in June 2023.
On the other hand, Celtic are also said to be impressed by the 26-year-old’s style of play, who may want them to make his transfer permanent for next season.
The talented winger has a market value of around € 15 million, according to transfermarkt.
Having scored more than 100 goals in 333 career appearances,
Elyounoussi has the potential to add firepower to any of the three Bundesliga clubs.
