April 26, 2001. It is 8 p.m. France is tuned in to its television set to discover a type of program that will change audiovisual productions forever. THE Loft Story. At the time, this concept did not exist. But little by little, developed countries are testing this new format which is causing debate. Some people think it won’t work. Others are spending astronomical sums to produce this new television content. Result of the races? Reality TV has created die-hard fans. For this first edition of Loft Story, the candidates went from total anonymity to celebrity in a flash. Some have even become emblematic figures, like the big winner of the first season: Fight.
In 2001, France learned of the existence of Loana‘s daughter in a magazine, just like her father. But who is he?
The horror! I was pregnant by the best friend of the man I lived with.
1988, Loana is 19 years old. She lives with her boyfriend, Gwanaël, in an apartment near Antibes. While she is on contraceptive hormones, the young woman gets pregnant and denied pregnancy. Unfortunately, her boyfriend at the time is not the father of her child. It is in reality the result of an adventure between Loana and Steve, her partner’s best friend.
A most delicate moment for Loana. At the time, she made her boyfriend Gwanaël believe that the baby had died of sudden infant death syndrome. But in truth, Loana had made the choice to hand over her child to specialized social servicesnot feeling the strength to raise her daughter in a lie that made her feel extremely guilty.
I remained completely stubborn about the fact that I didn’t have the right. Maybe at that point I should have done it and started something. Afterwards, the years passed.
However, when Loana became famous with Loft Story, journalists discovered the young woman’s past and brought it out into the open, proving his lie to the general public. Steve then asked for custody of his daughter, named Mindy, but Loana failed to enter the life of her daughter, who seemed to have a wonderful stepmother.
Today, the former reality TV candidate no longer has contact with her daughter, Mindy
I respect his wish, I understand it and that is why I never mention it and not because I deny our history.
Over time, Loana and her daughter were unable to put the pieces back together and create a real mother-daughter relationship. Recently, she said she writes a lot to her daughter, but she does not really send her a response. Loana learned that she had become a grandmother at 40. Unfortunately, the former candidate has not yet never met his descendants.
