Leon Gto. Loan houses led the complaints in the Federal Prosecutor’s Office of the
Consumer (Profeco) in Guanajuato, during the first semester of the year.
This was reported by Armando Guzmán García, director of the State Office for the Defense of the
Consumer, who detailed that 1,200 complaints have been registered in the first six months.
“Of the entire universe of consumers, what has most detonated us are the credit managers, they are establishments that unfortunately cheat the consumer, in loans, and with advances”.
He said that pawnshops and loans ask for advances as part of the process, but at the
end of the day they do not lend anything to consumers.
The federal official stated that in second place are the companies of
communications and telecommunications, as they offer their services and fail.
And in fact it was explained that it is Megacable and AT&T, that telecommunications item, which mainly appears, since these companies leave without service and they overcharge the user.
