Conductor Tarmo Peltokoskis has already become a world-famous rising star at the age of 21. Last June, the conductor earned his debut in Germany with his German Chamber Philharmonic in Bremen. According to the concert organizers, the soloist’s curiosity, curiosity and passionate insight into the details of each member of the orchestra created the perfect ground for his debut, making the concerts a real success story, followed by many invitations to perform again.

The orchestra’s music manager Hans Otto calls Tarmo one of the greatest talents of recent years. Already in 2018, the Pro Musica Foundation named Peltokoski the Young Musician of the Year. Several foreign media outlets have indicated that his name is recorded in the future of academic music. It is interesting that Tarmo Peltokoski has received several awards in competitions also as a virtuoso pianist.

In his first meeting with the LNSO, Tarmo will be delighted with the overture to Wagner’s opera “Tannheiser” and Sibelius’ First Symphony. The first part of the concert will feature Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto. The soloist will be Anton Lahovsky, a Russian pianist living in London.

Anton Lachovsky studied in St. Petersburg and London, won prizes in several international competitions, including second place and the Bärenreiter Award in New York’s Young Concert Artist International Audition (1999), and the Grand Prix and LNSO Sympathy Award in the Joseph Vītols V International Piano Competition in 2008. .

It has already been reported that in February, LNSO artists left their home – the Grand Guild – for two years due to the reconstruction of the building. Therefore, the audience is invited to seven special LNSO concerts, which will take place in the Grand Guild until the end of February.
