Since February 3 there has been no positive officially confirmed in the council and in the last 7 days the rate of infections per 100,000 inhabitants has dropped to 324, compared to 633 a week ago.
The Ministry of Health has assessed this epidemiological evolution and has ensured that the restrictive measures implemented since last January 21, and prolonged a week ago, have managed to reduce infections significantly. In fact, in this council the cumulative incidence at 14 days in the last week has decreased by more than 58% and for three days the positivity rate has been at levels of a new normal, that is, below 4%, similar to that of the beginning of the year.
From the Llanes Town Hall, the regidor Enrique Riestra, has shown his satisfaction for being the first in the region to reverse the epidemiological situation that led to its declaration as 4+ and has ensured that the credit has gone to the neighbors, for having known how to respond responsibly.
