Tottenham’s players started the match with Mura very badly and in the 11th minute they lost the first goal. Tomi Horvat took the Slovenes to an unexpected lead. The situation for the hosts got even better after another twenty minutes, when Ryan Sessengon fired from the field. The young Tottenham player received two yellow cards in just 17 minutes.
Antonio Conte was disappointed with the team’s performance and made four substitutions after ten minutes in the second half. His plan seemed to be working, as Harry Kane equalized in the 72nd minute of the game. Spurs, however, failed to score another goal.
In the fourth minute of added time, Amadej Marosa scored a 2-1 goal to secure Mura’s victory over Tottenham. It is worth noting that these are the first points of the Slovenes in this year’s edition of the League of European Conferences. The failure complicated the situation of the Roosters.
Tottenham was in a good position, but after conceding a goal and Vitesse’s equalization in the game against Rennes, he cannot be sure of promotion. The English and the Dutch each have seven points and no longer stand a chance of catching up with Rennes, who won Group G.
