Livestock Breeds Gather in Corrientes for National Exhibitions – Braford, Brahman, and Dorper

Samples of livestock breeds Braford, Brahman y Dorper They return to Corrientes. They will be held from this Monday, May 15 to Thursday, May 18 at the premises of the Rural Society of that province, located in the town of Riachuelo.

In this way, during the 4 days the 20th National Braford Show and 11th National Braford Calf Show; the 21st National Brahman Show and the 2nd Regional Dorper and White Dorper Show.

In this context, 3 breeds, more than 50 exhibiting companies, 682 animals, 90 registered cabins, and 4 auctions will be concentrated in this livestock meeting.

On the premises of the Rural Society of Corrientes, in the town of Riachueloa neighbor of the provincial capital, the best genetics will be exhibited and there will be a large commercial window with more than 50 exhibiting companies of products and services. The event will open on Monday 15, at 9:00, with the 21st National Brahman, the so-called “mother breed” of bovine crosses.

Dorper is less than 20 years old since it was introduced to Argentina and today it is considered one of the breeds with the highest number of registered breeders. It is a species native to South Africa, which began to be developed in the 1930s with the purpose of supplying the demand for lamb meat, since it has the capacity to be produced in the most extreme conditions, its main attributes being meat quality, cycling throughout the year and not having wool.

The official consignee of the livestock event will be Colombo and Magliano. To begin, on Monday the 15th, at 10:00, there will be a televised shot of winter Braford; on Thursday 18 from 1:00 p.m. the Braford and Brahman breeders will be put on sale; and for the closing, during the last night of the event, the auction of semen and that of Champions Braford and Brahman.
