Liverpool will have their first home game in Premier League 2021/2022. The Reds’ new players are called Jürgen Klopp Can’t wait to debut at Anfield.
Liverpool host Burnley in the second week of the 2021/2022 Premier League. This match will be Ibrahima Konate’s first time playing at Anfield.
Konate was brought in by Liverpool from RB Leipzig. The 22-year-old defender is still the Reds’ only signing this summer.
In the first match when Liverpool beat Norwich City, Konate didn’t play. The heart of Liverpool’s defense was guarded by Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk.
“Everyone is looking forward to it, it’s huge. Usually when you sign a contract for Liverpool, then the first three things you wait for is the first game at Anfield, to feel and experience the atmosphere,” Klopp told Liverpool’s official website.
“Everyone says about it, you may have seen some games on television but you don’t know until you feel it or experience it yourself.”
“Any and all of us who have played games at Anfield in the past, and we all have obviously lived that, it’s a special moment. It’s going to be a special moment for them, it’s just incredible,” he added.
Home match Liverpool, Saturday (21/8/2021) tonight, will be attended by spectators. It’s been a long time since the Anfield stands have been deserted because of the pandemic COVID-19.
