Liverpool’s English football player Luis Diaz took advantage of scoring the equalizer against Luton Town, and revealed an emotional appeal for the release of his kidnapped father in Colombia.

Diaz’s parents were kidnapped at gunpoint in Colombia a few days ago, and his mother was found while his father is still missing.

The National Liberation Army of Colombia, a left-wing guerrilla organization, is behind the kidnapping.

Diaz made the emotional call after participating from the bench and scoring the 1-1 equalizer for Liverpool against Luton Town in the final seconds of the two teams’ match yesterday, Sunday, in the English Premier League.

During Diaz (26 years old) celebrating scoring the goal, he revealed a T-shirt bearing the phrase “Freedom for my father” and then released a post on his Instagram account.

Diaz stated in his post, “Today the footballer is not speaking to you, but today Lucho Diaz, the son of Luis Manuel Diaz, is speaking to you.”

He added, “Mani, my father, is a tireless worker and a pillar of the family. He was kidnapped… I ask the National Liberation Army to immediately release my father, and I call on international organizations to work together to free him.”

Diaz continued, “Every second and every minute our suffering increases. My mother, my brothers and I feel despair and distress and we have no words to describe what we feel. The suffering will end only when he returns to us. I beg you to release him immediately, out of respect for his integrity and to end this painful wait as quickly as possible.” maybe”.

“In the name of love and compassion, we ask you to reconsider your actions and allow us to take him back,” he continued in the post published by the British news agency, PA Media.

He added, “I thank Colombians and the international community for the support we received. Thank you for all the expressions of affection and solidarity in this difficult time that many families are experiencing in my country, Colombia.”

Diaz participated from the bench in the 83rd minute of yesterday’s match, which is his first participation since the kidnapping of his parents last October 28.
