Liverpool women sign Republic of Ireland striker from West Ham Football News

The Liverpool women have signed Lyon Kiernan from West Ham, during which the forward meets new manager Matt Bard.

The 22-year-old has spent the last three seasons with West Ham in the International Women’s Super League of the Republic of Ireland.

Bard brought in Kiernan from Shelborne during her job at West Ham, and the player said it was a phone call with a former Hammers boss that convinced her to join Liverpool.

“I’ve played as a winger for the last three years and as a forward for my country,” Kirnon said. “I can’t wait to get back on the pitch with my new teammates and settle down with my new family in Liverpool.

“The club has a great name and it is definitely a great ambition. I really enjoyed the phone call with Berdy, he caught me towards Liverpool and it’s an exciting time to be here. “
