Four teams have already confirmed themselves to qualify for the semifinals Champions League. Villarreal, real Madrid, Liverpoolas well as Manchester City will fight for tickets to the final.
Villarreal through to the semifinals Champions League 2021/2022 after getting rid of Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals. The Yellow Submarine won 2-1 on aggregate in a two-leg match.
Another Spanish team, Real Madrid, advanced by ejecting defending champion Chelsea. The whites won 5-4 on aggregate in extra-time drama in the second leg.
Two Premier League clubs, Liverpool and Manchester City, also managed to seal tickets to the semifinals. The Reds 6-4 aggregate win over Benfica in the quarterfinals, meanwhile The Citizens get rid of Atletico Madrid 1-0 on aggregate.
The English team will clash with a Spanish club in the top four. Liverpool meet Villarrealwhereas Manchester City face real Madrid.
The first leg of the Champions League semifinals will be held simultaneously on April 27, 2022. Liverpool host Villarreal at Anfield, while Real Madrid face Man City at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The second leg is scheduled to take place on May 4, 2022. The winner in the semifinal phase will fight for the Champions League trophy at the Parc des Princes, Paris, on May 29, 2022.
