Liverpool took a three-goal lead quickly, then collapsed until Tottenham Hotspur equalized the score. Diogo Jota became the hero of the Reds who won dramatically 4-3.

Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah put Liverpool 3-0 up at the start. Harry Kane thinned it out to 1-3 for Spurs in the 39th minute.


Spurs started the second half better. Son Heung-min closed the gap again in the 77th minute, then Richarlison leveled the score in the 93rd!

When it looked like the match would end in a draw, Liverpool scored. Diogo Jota won Liverpool a minute after the Spurs goal.

These results lifted Liverpool to fifth place with 56 points, two points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in sixth.

GOAL! Liverpool had opened the scoring in the third minute. Trent Alexander-Arnold sent a gastric cross from the right and was struck by Curtis Jones at the far post. The ball slid under Spurs goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

Salah’s shot in the 21st minute was only slightly off the left of the goal. Spurs responded when Harry Kane’s cross in front of goal was too heavy for Son Heung-min in the 29th minute but later the offside flag was raised.

GOAL! Spurs replied in the 39th minute. Ivan Perisic passes on the left and passes Virgil van Dijk. He then passed to the middle and was finished by Harry Kane.

Spurs almost scored another goal two minutes later. Andy Robertson lost the ball in his own defense and was dispossessed by Dejan Kulusevski. Alisson Becker saved Liverpool by blocking Kane’s shot with his foot.

GOAL! Spurs equalized in the 93rd minute. Son’s cross from a free kick on the left was headed in by Richarlison which slipped past at the far post.

GOAL! Liverpool took the lead again a minute later! Diogo Jota escaped and coolly beat Forster with a low drive.
