34th Matchday Premier League bring together the duel of two top teams, Liverpool vs Tottenham. The match took place at Anfield, Sunday (30/4/2023) evening WIB.
Liverpool had a 3-0 lead at the start of the first half through goals from Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah (penalty). Harry Kane reduced Tottenham’s deficit ahead of halftime.
Tottenham stepped on the gas in the second half and had evened the score 3-3. It was Son Heung-min and Richarlison who got their names on the scoresheet.
Diogo Jota became a hero Liverpool through his goal before the game ended. The Reds 4-3 win over Tottenham.
Liverpool defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold, admitted the match against Tottenham was fantastic. He was grateful his team was able to win at the last minute.
“Crazy. What a game. This is a game we love to play. Fantastic end to a game. Things you want to see honestly,” Trent said, quoted from BBC.
“It’s not much relief, it’s just celebration. It’s pushing to get another win. We went from disappointment to joy in a matter of minutes. What a way to win the game,” he continued.
“There are a lot of things we need to learn. We can’t draw 3-3 when we are 3-0 up. That’s not what top teams do, we have to kill games.”
“They fought back, fair game to them. It’s about winning games and that’s what we have done today,” said Trent.
This victory brought Liverpool to fifth place in the standings Premier League with 56 points. Juergen Klopp’s men are now 7 points away from the top four.
