Master race, the struggle for the Champions League places, relegation battle and top scorer: An overview of the current situation in the Premier League and the forecasts of the editors.
Everything boils down to a duel between Manchester City and Liverpool. Both teams still have nine league games to play, with defending champions City going into the season finale with a one-point lead. On April 10th there will be a direct duel in Manchester. The two heavyweights have also qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the semi-finals of the FA Cup. There the teams of Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp meet.
Forecast: Liverpool, who have won their last nine league games in a row, are still outstripping Man City.

Behind the Citizens and the Reds, six teams can still hope for the Champions League qualification. As of now, Chelsea and Granit Xhaka’s Arsenal would have qualified, Tottenham and Ronaldo’s ManUtd would have to compete in the Europa League and Conference League respectively, which would be a disappointment.
Forecast: Chelsea and Arsenal, who have been strong in recent weeks, will defend third and fourth place.
There are no indications that bottom light Norwich will still be able to stay in the league. Things are also looking bleak for Burnley and Watford. But there are other clubs that cannot sit back and relax just yet. Brighton, for example, who have lost six times in a row, are currently 13th with a supposedly comfortable 11 point lead over the relegation zone. After loss points, there are only six of them. Fabian Schär’s Newcastle, who fought their way up from the bottom to midfield in the second half of the season, are hardly in danger of relegation.
Forecast: Norwich, Burnley and Watford are relegated.
Mohamed Salah has scored 20 times in 27 games. Heung-min Son and Diogo Jota follow with 13 goals each. Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané have 12 goals under their belt.
Forecast: There’s no escaping Salah unless he gets injured in one of the next two games and misses the rest of the season.
