Liverpool star Mohamed Saleh said he “shares the pain” of bereaved families over Christmas due to the war between Israel and Hamas.
The Egyptian footballer posted a message on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter, saying that “Christmas is a time for families to come together and celebrate.”
“With the brutal war in the Middle East, especially the death and destruction in Gaza, this year we receive Christmas with regret and share the pain of families who are grieving the death of their loved ones.”
“Please do not forget about them and do not get used to their suffering. Merry christmas”.
Egypt has suggested it has a plan to end the war.
