Liverpool –
Juergen Klopp had a ‘ritual’ when Liverpool won: boxing action in front of the fans after the game. But the action was absent when the opponent Manchester United.
Even though Liverpool won a landslide 7-0 win over Manchester United at Anfield, Sunday (5/3/2023) evening WIB. The attacking trio of ‘The Reds’ Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah scored two goals each, then Roberto Firmino scored another goal.
This big win was a massive boost for Liverpool, who started this season with difficulty. This result against MU strengthens the momentum, with Juergen Klopp’s troops now unbeaten in their last five Premier League matches, winning four of them, and always keeping a clean sheet.
Naturally, after the match, the Liverpool fans who were joined in the stands of The Kop expected Klopp to celebrate by boxing with them. But this time Klopp did not.
What is the reason?
“Yeah, it’s not about making the stadium noisier, we have to keep going, keep going. I like to do it, but for sure I can’t do it after every game,” Klopp told BBCquoted Metro.
“I like that they ask for it, I still don’t really like it when they sing my songs, like ‘Oh my God, nothing else?’. But I appreciate it, there will be moments when we achieve what we want this season, then we have enough time for boxing action,” added Klopp.
