Liverpool managed to get full points in the home match against Nottingham Forest. The Reds achieved a convincing victory with a score of 3-0.
Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest match at Anfield Stadium on Sunday (29/10/2023) evening WIB. Liverpool were two goals ahead in the first half thanks to goals from Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez.
Mohamed Salah emphasized Liverpool’s dominance after scoring the third goal in the second half.
This victory raised Liverpool to third place in the standings with 23 points from 10 matches. Nottingham Forest slipped one place to 16th after collecting just 10 points.

The Course of the Match
Liverpool dominated the game in the early minutes. Mohamed Salah’s cross met Darwin Nunez in the penalty box. However, Nunez’s volley was too weak so it was easily caught by Matthew Turner.
In the midst of Liverpool’s attack, Nottingham Forest threatened to counterattack. Ibrahima Sangare’s pass was continued by Anthony Elanga with a low kick towards the far post. The ball went off course.
GOAL! The deadlock was finally broken. Diogo Jota opened the scoring in the 31st minute. Alexis Mac Allister snatched the ball near the center circle, then sent a pass to Mohamed Salah on the right wing.
Salah continued with a crossing which Darwin Nunez met with a hard shot. The ball was pushed over by Turner, but Jota swiftly grabbed the rebound. Liverpool leads 1-0 over Nottingham Forest.
Liverpool only needed four minutes to increase their lead to 2-0. It was Darwin Nunez’s turn to carve his name on the scoreboard.
Mac Allister’s long pass to Dominik Szoboszlai was followed by a one-two with Mohamed Salah. Nunez finished Szoboszlai’s cross with a flick from close range.
After the restart, Mo Salah threatened Nottingham Forest. Salah’s stab ended with a low left foot shot, the ball still went wide.
The third goal that Liverpool had been waiting for finally appeared in the 77th minute. From a quick counter-attack scheme, Szoboszlai sent a long ball forward from the penalty box.
Turner made a blunder after failing to intercept the ball which was then controlled by Salah. The top Egyptian player then controlled the ball with his chest before finishing with a right-footed shot into the empty goal. Liverpool 3, Nottingham Forest 0.
In the last 10 minutes, Liverpool almost scored a fourth goal. Mac Allister’s collaboration with Cody Gakpo ended with Gakpo with a right-footed shot at the near post. The ball is still wide.
Gakpo found the net against Nottingham Forest in the final seconds of the game after maximizing Harvey Elliot’s pass. However, the goal was disallowed after Gakpo was proven to be offside via a VAR check. The 3-0 score lasted until the match was over.
