Liverpool Scores Big Win Against Leeds United in Premier League Match

London: In the English Premier League football, former champion Liverpool drowned Leeds United in a rain of goals.

Mohamed Salah and Diego Jota scored twice for Liverpool in the match at Elland Road, the home of Leeds. Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunes scored a goal apiece. Colombian player Luis Sinistera scored a goal for Leeds United.

After defeating Manchester United by seven goals, Liverpool could not win in five consecutive matches. Diego Jota scored in the 52nd minute. The Portugal striker is scoring a goal in the Premier League after a gap of 12 months. The player last scored a goal against Manchester City in April 2022. Jota said after the match that Portugal teammate Cristiano Ronaldo’s advice helped him score. Salah scored in the 64th minute and Jota himself in the 73rd minute. Substitute Darwin Nunes scored in the 90th minute. Former champion Manchester United, who lost 2-0 against Nottingham Forest, reached the third position. Brazil’s Anthony Martial and Diego Dalot scored in the match at The City Ground.

With the win, United moved up to the third position with 59 points from 30 games. Nottingham Forest are in the relegation zone with only 27 points from 31 games. Nottingham is in 18th place, Leicester City is in 19th place with 25 points from 31 games and Southampton is at the bottom in 20th place with 23 points. The title fight is also close. Arsenal are first with 74 points from 31 games and Manchester City are second with 70 points from 30 games. Arsenal’s away draw against first-placed West Ham made the match exciting.
