Liverpool released their new jersey for the 2021/2022 season. Brand-new uniform The Reds considered similar to the Italian club jersey, AS Roma. Time, anyway?
Liverpool launched the home jersey they will wear next season, Thursday (20/5/2021). The launch of the costume was announced on the club’s official website from Merseyside.
The Liverpool jersey is dominated by red which is identical to The Reds. The collar and sleeves are colored orange, as well as the transverse stripes in the middle.
Liverpool have chosen additional orange motives for a reason. According to the club’s official website, the color orange is said to represent strength, energy and danger.
This Nike apparel jersey was inspired by the team uniform in 1964. At that time, Liverpool for the first time adopting the red color for the team’s shirts and trousers.
“Taking inspiration from the 1964 season, when the Reds were under the management and instruction of Bill Shankly, next season’s home kit displays a bright red sheen,” wrote Liverpool on its official website.
The new Liverpool jersey is made with 100 percent recycled polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles. Fans can buy it starting June 3, 2021.
Liverpool supporters responded to the new jersey of their favorite team with various reactions on social media. Many have praised the new jersey, but not a few are not comfortable with its appearance.
Some fans have even called Liverpool’s new home jersey similar to hers AS Roma. The Giallorosso indeed famous for the red jersey, plus the orange color on the edges of the sleeves and collars.

“This is terrible. The colors are more in tune with AS Roma than Liverpool. Even though it is cooler if they use our traditional colors (yellow or white),” tweeted one fan.
“Liverpool will change to AS Roma next season with that jersey,” another fan added.
