Liverpool have the provision of victory from the first leg ahead of entertaining Inter Milan in the Champions League. However, Fabinho warned Liverpool not to let their guard down.
Liverpool won 2-0 away to Inter in the first leg of the last 16 Champions League three weeks ago. Goals scored The Reds at the Giuseppe Meazza scored by Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool will host Inter in the second leg of the Champions League last 16. Duel Liverpool vs Inter will be held at Anfield on Wednesday (9/3/2022) early morning WIB.
Liverpool midfielder Fabinho still wary of Inter Milan even though his team is already two goals ahead. He warned Liverpool not to give Inter a chance to feel confident.
“Inter Milan is a very good team. I once said, for me they are the best Italian team in the last two or three years,” Fabinho said as reported by the club’s official website.
“In the first leg, in the first half they played better than us, they had a good chance when the ball hit the crossbar. But we were sharper in front of goal, we scored two goals.”
“Big teams have to win games like this too, when you don’t have many chances you have to maximize the chances you get,” continued Fabinho.
“We have to try to give everything, at the highest level of intensity and concentration, not to give them confidence.”
“We have to do what we usually do at Anfield: play our best game and try to finish them off as quickly as possible, if we can,” said Fabinho.
