The match was just over ten minutes old when the whole of Liverpool had to hold their breath. – It’s disappointing. It’s been a bit like this this season. This was probably our best match this year, and I feel we are so close to a new goal at the same time as we are far away, says Berge to Sky Sports who despite the disappointment brings out a small smile.

Firmino with the first of the year
Thus, Berge sent Sheffield United in the lead after 13 minutes of play at Anfield. It was also his second goal in the Premier League as he scored against Tottenham last season.
But the home team, who had managed the most ball in the first half, got a goal at the break. After 41 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Aaron Ramsdale might have resulted in another goal for Senegal. That goal was also Firmino’s first in the Premier League this season.

VAR cancellation
In the second half, Liverpool continued to have a lot of ball. After 63 minutes, the visitors leveled the scores after VAR made it through the middle and struck home the 1 – 1 goal.
Trent Alexander-Arnold found Mohamed Salah in the box, and the Egyptian put the ball in goal. However, the photos showed that the attacker was in a fine offside when the post was hit, and the scoring was thus canceled.
But Liverpool had more to come. And that just a minute after the canceled goal. Mané looked up and pricked a post on Jota’s forehead. The player who signed for Liverpool this summer stabbed the ball in goal and sent Liverpool into the lead.
When the clock showed 80 minutes, Salah got a great chance alone with Ramsdale. The edge cut in from the right and chipped the ball elegantly over the goalkeeper. However, the ball went in the metal and back in the clips at Ramsdale.
