Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Jurgen Klopp, the coach of Liverpool FC, commented on newspaper allegations about Jordan Henderson, the Al-Ettifaq club player, wanting to leave the Saudi Professional League and return to the English Premier League (Premier League).
Reports recently claimed that the 33-year-old midfielder would prefer to leave the Saudi club during the winter transfer market due to his “lack of adaptation” and return to the Premier League again.
Klopp was asked about the possibility of Henderson returning to the Reds team. He replied: “Did the player hold a press conference and say that or what?” He added: “(The allegations) were just written! This means to me that they do not exist.”
He continued while speaking in a press conference after Liverpool’s victory over Arsenal with two clean goals in the FA Cup, saying: “He did not contact me. We actually talked already, but not about that, so there is nothing that can really be said about that.”
Jordan Henderson played 19 matches with Al-Ettifaq Club, which he joined in the “Mercato” summer, during which he provided 5 assists.
