Liverpool fans have hijacked a Thiago Alcantara social media post involving Philippe Coutinho.
In January 2018, Coutinho left Anfield to join Barcelona in a £ 142 million deal, but things have not gone as planned for the Brazilian.
The 28-year-old has made 90 appearances for the La Liga team, scoring 23 goals, but that doesn’t tell the full story.
In the summer of 2019, Coutinho was loaned to Bayern Munich, where he joined Thiago.
Coutinho helped Bayern win the Bundesliga and the Champions League, scoring against Barça, their parent club, in the semi-final.
Thiago posted a photo of him and Coutinho on Twitter with a message wishing the former Reds player a happy birthday.
“Yesterday was the birthday of this special person! Congratulations my brother,” Thiago wrote.
Many Liverpool fans, upon seeing Thiago’s post, responded with very similar messages about Coutinho.
This is what they had to say.
“Thiago, do us a favor, convince Klopp to take him home.”
“Bring him home, bro.”
“Tune in next season.”
“Liverpool should forgive him and bring him back.”
“Agent Thiago doing his thing … bring him home.”
“Put it in your suitcase and bring it home.”
“Tell him to come home.”
