Manchester City advantage in the race for the champion Premier League after Liverpool Tottenham Hotspur draw. Then when will Manchester City be able to ensure the Premier League title?
Liverpool were only able to win one point when they hosted Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield Stadium, Saturday (7/5). Son Heung Min’s goal was only able to reply Liverpool one goal through Luis Diaz.
An additional one point still makes Liverpool shift Man City at the top of the Premier League standings. Both collecting 83 points, the Reds are ahead on goal difference over Man City who will only face Newcastle United tonight, Sunday (8/5).
Then when will Manchester City be able to ensure the Premier League title?
Assuming Liverpool and Manchester City can both win in the remaining matches and the advantage on goal difference remains the same, then Man City will only be able to ensure the Premier League title in the last game of the season.
Man City will host Aston Villa in the last Premier League game of the season on 22 May.
Because the difference in goal difference is only +1, then Man City will not be able to ensure the Premier League title until before the last match. Unless Liverpool again failed to win in one of the remaining three games.
This condition will make the competition between Liverpool and Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title will be fierce until the last match.
