Liverpool and Nike kits rank second on the Premier League’s most expensive list

Liverpool’s 2021/22 home jersey is second only to Chelsea, in terms of the price of a standard adult jersey.

The Reds home jersey costs £ 69.95 to buy from Liverpool’s online store.

Liverpool launched their home jersey in May and it was predominantly well received, with the kit consisting of the traditional red jersey, red shorts and red socks, taking inspiration from the 1964 season.

Only the Manchester City (Puma) and Tottenham Hotspur (Nike) jerseys cost more than the Liverpool one, and both are priced at £ 70.

With the average price of a Premier League replica jersey coming in at nearly £ 60 this season, the Reds’ latest home jersey is significantly more expensive than other clubs in the division.

By comparison, Norwich City has the league’s cheapest jersey top at £ 50, closely followed by Brighton at £ 52.

Liverpool also have the second-most expensive junior top in the top flight, with a junior home shirt costing £ 54.95, exactly the same as Chelsea.

Again, only Manchester City and Spurs have a more expensive junior jersey, priced at £ 55 each.

Liverpool is also one of the few clubs that sells “authentic” jerseys, ones that are exactly the same as the ones players wear on the pitch.

Unlike men’s and junior jerseys, the authentic Liverpool jersey is the sixth most expensive in the Premier League, costing £ 99.95.

Once again Manchester City tops this list with their authentic jersey costing £ 110, against Tottenham Hotspur (£ 105), Chelsea (£ 104.95), Arsenal (£ 100) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (£ 100).

Liverpool will make their successful debut in their 2021/22 home kit when they travel to Norwich City on 14 August.
