“The German government’s Coronavirus Protection Ordinance last Friday provides only a few exceptions and no special rules for professional athletes,” the government said in a statement.

UEFA said it is discussing the decision with the German Football Union and the German government. The organization recently changed the rules so the first leg could be played in England. The game can also take place on a neutral field.

Previously reportedthat if Liverpool cannot get to Germany, and Leipzig does not find another venue for the match, the German team will be punished with a technical defeat with a score of 0: 3.
