A meteorologist from the United States was rushed to the hospital after fainting live when her colleagues gave her the space to comment on the weather in the city of Los Angeles (United States). In the middle of the transmission, the woman fell behind the desk before the incredulous gaze of the presenters. After being transferred, she shared a post in which she explained her situation.
This is Alissa Carlson Schwartz, a 47-year-old presenter of the KCAL channel (or Channel 9) owned by CBS from the Californian city.
On Saturday, during the weather presentation on the morning show, he began to feel unwell and before he could utter a word, he passed out. In the images that were broadcast on television, it is clearly seen how Schwartz, pale, fades when her eyes retract upwards, and despite trying to stay upright, she falls back behind the desk and hits her head.
During a live broadcast of the weather forecast on CBS, anchor Alyssa Carlson collapsed, leaving her co-workers initially thinking it was a joke. It was later revealed that she had actually fainted, prompting a commercial break to be called pic.twitter.com/qjcxsoy0W3

At that time, the co-anchors of the newscast Michelle Medina and Rachel Kim were surprised by what happened, but at first they seem not to dimension what happened. However, before long they realize it and tell the viewers: “We are going to take a short break right now”.
Later, CBS Los Angeles vice president and news director Mike Dello Stritto commented that the woman’s co-workers called 911 for treatment and that she was later taken to a local hospital, according to reports by People and Fox News.
The next day, Schwartz made a post through his official Facebook account in which he shared his state of health and recalled an old event from 2014.
Thank you for all the kind wishes as I recover from a head injury. I’m out of the hospital and I’m fine. I slept a lot and even had some pizza, thank you very much,” she recounted.
However, it was not clear what was the cause of the fainting and if the head injury was from the blow when he fell from his chair or it is another injury.
“I appreciate all the prayers while I recover,” he emphasized.
And he advanced: “There is more to come…”.
Finally, he specified that it has nothing to do with the other accident he suffered nine years ago when he vomited live on the set of another television program. At that time, he was diagnosed with a heart problem called a leaky heart valve. “Fortunately, it’s not my heart this time,” she clarified.
