The OFC suffered a severe setback in the fight for the championship in the Southwest Regional League last matchday. There was only a goalless draw against KSV Hessen Kassel at home. As a result, head coach Ersan Parlatan’s team failed to gain ground on SSV Ulm, whose game had been postponed.
Going into matchday 27, Kickers Offenbach are five points behind the leaders, but have already played a game more. Should SSV Ulm win the catch-up game, the deficit would be eight points.
