Conclusion
FK Austria Vienna narrowly beat ASKÖ Oedt 3:2. Oedt kept the game open for a long time, partly because Austria had possession of the ball but apparently did not force the decisive goal. Oedt made the game exciting for a short time with a brilliant counterattack, but a penalty put Austria back on the winning track. The result will suit Austria, but the performance, especially in the final phase, will probably cause concern among those in charge. Austria will play against Altach this weekend, where they will have to show a different face again – especially in front of goal.

Half-time conclusion
ASKÖ Oedt and FK Austria Wien go into the break with a score of 1:2. The home team take a surprise lead, Barry helps Oedt to the lead with a catastrophic back pass. Austria is unimpressed and turns things around with a double strike from Prelec and Husković before the first quarter of an hour is over. Austria is dominant as a result, but doesn’t take many risks, which means that there are relatively few chances in the 20 minutes up to the break. But nothing is decided here, there is still a lot to be had in the second half.

Game start
The teams come onto the field.
In the first round, Oedt defeated Hohenems from the Regionalliga West. It was a very close affair, and the Upper Austrians only won the game in a penalty shootout.
Oedt needs a moment of glory today if they want to stand up to Austria. The regional league team’s start to the season was mixed.
Austria is rotating the team a bit today. The captain is goalkeeper Kos, who is making his second cup appearance. Young players are getting a chance today, while some experienced players are initially staying on the bench.
Oliver Authried comments on the game.
Welcome to the 2nd round of the ÖFB Cup for the game ASKÖ Oedt against FK Austria Wien.
Austria seems to have overcome the initial difficulties and is now well on its way to starting a small series. The form curve and ultimately the results are clearly pointing upwards. Against Oedt, the Favoritners want to continue where they left off against LASK. The game philosophy is working better and better and is also reflected in the ball possession statistics.
Like every outsider in the cup, Oedt is hoping for a sensation. At the very least, they want to enjoy their game of the year and make it as difficult as possible for Austria. The regional league team is currently in 8th place in the Central Regional League, with two wins and two defeats.
Kick-off is at 19:00 in the Transdanubia sports complex Traun/Oedt.
