The target amount of the donation campaign for a new corona test street for the GGD Flevoland in Urk has been achieved. A total of 10,030 euros has been donated. The action was started by young people in Urk after the test street burned down last Saturday during riots against the curfew.
Initiator Jan Baarssen put the campaign online on Monday “to show people living outside the good side of Urk youth”. The money is intended to set up a new test location. The initiator writes that GGD Flevoland thinks it is “very nice” that the young people have set up this campaign.
In Urk, dozens of people took to the streets on Saturday to protest against the curfew. They drove loudly in the harbor area in about a hundred cars. The GGD’s corona test street near the site was set on fire and was badly damaged. GGD Flevoland called the fire a “big blow to our face”.
