July 5 – Storm Poly hit Holland and Germany causing severe disruption and also recording two fatalities. In Amsterdam, due to bad weather, all public transport was halted and Schiphol Airport, one of the busiest hubs in Europe, canceled more than 400 flights. Roads were closed due to falling trees and heavy rain damaged power lines.
