I wish all skiing fans a nice Saturday morning! The Alpine Skiing World Championships in the French resort of Courchevel-Méribel continue with another speed discipline, the downhill.
The biggest favorite to win is the Italian Sofia Goggi. And there is nothing to be surprised, because the Italian women dominated the alpine combination and Super-G at these World Championships. Ilka Stuhecová from Slovenia, Elena Curtoniová from Italy or Corinne Suterová from Switzerland can definitely fight for the title of world champion. There is no need to write off Mikaela Shiffrin, who is a ski all-rounder and has already won in every single discipline.
Petra Vlhová will only participate in the slalom and giant slalom at these World Championships, which are scheduled for next week.
