People like to buy quality fruits and vegetables. However, this is almost impossible in Czech retail chains. Even fresh fruit is often of poor quality, and as local farmers say, stores buy it where they can give it the lowest price ever. And even when there is a reasonable offer in the Czech Republic.
Something was found there again
So it can’t be too surprising how it usually turns out and that there is something to be found in such fruit. It does not have to be only fresh fruits, but also dried ones. The last case, caught by the State’s Agriculture and Food Inspection in Tesco, relates specifically to those.
“In a pack of dried apricots from Tesco, we found live pests,” SZPI literally called customers who were surprised, adding that the food also smelled of spoilage. Yes, there were indeed live pests in the produce. If you actually opened the bag and didn’t check the contents, which most people don’t, you would eat them.
We don’t even want to think how many people this has actually happened to. “If there are signs of spoilage in food, it cannot be considered safe for human health,” he added to the study himself website.
It really was enough
At the same time, you can still have dried apricots at home, because their minimum shelf life is until May this year. It is known that this product lasts even longer. Many people buy it to store and then enjoy it, for example, in the evening in front of the TV, when the room is dark and they can’t see exactly what they are eating.
Something like this is really a big problem and should start to be solved somehow. Chains are unable to sell us food under their private labels, which are of very low quality and even more unreasonable.
