Copa América 2021: For the first time, the South American continental championship will take place in two countries, Argentina and Colombia. Due to the corona pandemic, the 2020 tournament could not be held, in 2021 it will be held at the same time as the European Championships from June 11 to July 10, 2021. Ten South American teams and two visiting teams compete against each other in nine stadiums. Copa América 2021: schedule and dates

The Copa America starts on June 11th with the opening game in Buenos Aires. Argentina and Chile face each other there, all other games are played both in Argentina and in Colombia. In the group stage, 10 teams and two visiting teams (
Australia, Qatar), a qualification is not necessary due to the small number of teams. The teams are divided into only two groups of 6 teams each, group A and B. The group phase itself will be played from June 11th to June 28th. The four best teams in each group advance to the quarter-finals and the knockout stages of the tournament. On July 6th and 7th, the four winners of the first round will play for progress in the semi-finals. The final will finally take place on July 10, 2021.

Copa América 2021: group stage – teams, date, place

The opening match of the Copa América 21 will take place on June 11, 2021 in Buenos Aires, in the Estadio Monumental, between Argentina and Chile, the final in Barranquilla in the Estadio Metropolitano, Colombia. The participating teams are divided into two groups, A, Zona Sur, and B, Zona Norte. The south zone plays its games in Argentina, the north zone in Colombia. The top four in each group will eventually advance to the quarter-finals.

The group stage runs from June 11 to June 28, 2021. The current schedule for the South American Championship 2021 was published in August 2020. For group A it looks like this:

Group A (Zona Sur): Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay

Group B (Zona Norte): Brazil, Ecuador, Qatar, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela
