Live music and fun at the 48th Owl Festival

Einbeck. The largest city festival in southern Lower Saxony will once again delight visitors to Einbeck’s city center from October 11th to 13th with live music on four stages, spectacular rides, a varied culinary offering and many colorful market stalls.
The 48th Einbeck Owl Festival traditionally opens on Friday at 5 p.m., when Mayor Dr. Sabine Michalek taps the first barrel of Einbecker Winter-Bock on the main stage. The varied music program then begins on the stages in Tiedexer Strasse, Altendorfer Strasse, Möncheplatz and the market square. From party bands to rock, pop and metal to the popular pop star guest on Sunday – a wide range of music genres will once again be served.

The first musical highlight on the main stage on Friday evening is presented by the Brödner construction company: the gala and party band »crossFader« from Hameln impresses the audience with energetic performances and cross-genre music. On Saturday evening, »Schottenrock« rocks the stage with bagpipes, violin, guitar, saxophone, trumpet and lots of percussion. Then the band »Luxusrausch« takes over and puts everyone in the mood to party with their special mix of music. The party can continue straight after at the Eulenfest after-show party in the Rheinischer Hof.
Sunday afternoon is all about the pop star guest: Just in time for the start of Sunday shopping, DSDS winner Ramon Roselly will make the hearts of pop fans beat faster. Because music is a “matter of the heart” for him and because he can share his “favorite moments” with his fans, Ramon Roselly can “live his dreams” today. These three album titles by Ramon Roselly, packed into just one sentence, provide a deep insight into the soul of the down-to-earth pop star. His songs reveal what drives him and what he loves. “I can’t stop singing – no matter where I am, no matter who is standing around me,” he says.
Another highlight will be the “Jimie” stage at Möncheplatz, where bands like “Filterfrei”, “When the sun sleeps” and “Eat no fish” will rock on Friday and Saturday.

Due to the ongoing construction work on the Old Town Hall, the fourth stage with a varied program will be located on Tiedexer Strasse this year. The weekly market will be held on Saturday in the hall plan, and from 9 a.m. on Marktstrasse many boys and girls will be looking forward to showing off their sales skills at the popular children’s flea market, which is being organized again this year by the core city SPD.

The Einbeck retail sector awaits its visitors throughout the Owl Festival weekend with special offers and the opportunity for an extensive shopping tour during the Sunday opening hours from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

This year, Altendorfer Strasse will undergo some changes, but the organizers do not want to reveal exactly what it will look like on the Owl Festival weekend. Visitors can also look forward to a selection of handcrafted items and arts and crafts as well as a colorful stage program. This time too, Einbeck’s twin towns Paczkow and Thiais will be serving up the culinary delicacies of their home countries on Altendorfer Strasse.
This year, there is a lot on offer for adrenaline junkies and fairground fans. In the Pfänderwinkel/Franz-Cestnik-Platz car park, Tom Heine’s “Air Power” whirls passengers through the air, on the Möncheplatz, “Break-Dancer” and “Devil-Dance” promise ultimate fun, and a ride on the Ferris wheel in the Breil car park gives you a unique view of Einbeck. There is also a wide range of activities for the little ones: whether it’s a children’s carousel, bungee trampoline or baby flight, there is something for every taste.

After a year’s break, the big Owl Festival raffle offers the chance to win a car, the Owl Racer. With the support of the Kerkau car dealership, this year a real eye-catcher, the Hyundai i20 in Lucid Lime Metallic, will be raffled off among all ticket buyers. The final highlight of the 48th Einbeck Owl Festival will be the winning numbers of the Owl Festival raffle on Sunday evening at
8 p.m. on the large market square stage.

DB Regio is once again providing special trains with double seating capacity for the Owl Festival. A corresponding note will be displayed on the train’s display board. In addition, all connections can be found at www.bahn.de.

The 48th Einbeck Owl Festival is being held with the kind support of Einbecker Brauhaus, KWS SAAT SE, Sparkasse Einbeck, Stadtwerke Einbeck, City of Einbeck, Volksbank Einbeck, Einbecker Wohnungsbaugesellschaft, Autohaus Kerkau, HKS Sicherheitsservice GmbH, Bauunternehmen Brödner and Lutze International Europe. Einbeck Marketing would like to thank all sponsors and supporters of the Einbeck Owl Festival.
