The Colón Theater will dedicate this month to music, opening its doors to the public to once again offer a live art experience, with a variety of genres ranging from tango to Astor piazzolla to the familiar compositions of the Collective Animal.
Six scheduled concerts, four face-to-face and two digital, make up the programming that Colombia’s most emblematic stage launched for June, shows for which you can attend by buying tickets on TuBoleta.

Long live music!
Programming will begin this Friday, at 7:30 pm, the day on which the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia will offer a concert directed by Olivier Grangean (France), in which compositions by Antonín Dvořák and Adolfo Mejía will be performed.
For its part, on the 20th of this month, at 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm, Flora Martinez will present his new musical album with a selection of songs that includes boleros, rancheras and own compositions. During the concert he will share the stage with the pianist Jose Reinoso and it will be accompanied by a Latin jazz band, where the trumpet solos and the heat of the Latin percussion will invite the spectator to dance.
Subsequently, the 24 and 25, at 7:30 pm, the Colón Theater will begin the commemoration of the one hundred years since the birth of Astor Piazzolla, in which Bogotá will live two Buenos Aires nights thanks to Astor Piazzolla Quintet, who will travel from Argentina to commemorate the life and work of the artist who revolutionized tango in the 20th century. The group will share the stage with the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, under the direction of Jorge Mariano Carciofolo.
Finally, after having been presented in a digital format in 2020, on the 27, At 11:00 am and 3:00 pm, the girls and boys will be able to return to the theater to enjoy a musical journey through the ancestral knowledge of the indigenous people and will reinforce their connection with nature at the hands of An enchanted forest, a concert of the Animal Collective in which they will carry a message of responsibility and care towards the environment, through songs featuring forest animals.

The Colón digital strip continues to air so that the public can enjoy its programming from anywhere in the world. From 11 to 14, the songs of the vaquería, the footwork of the joropo and the traditional narratives of the plain will be present in the voice of Amín Castellanos, ‘El Catire’, who will return to the stage to interpret his own compositions along with some of the most iconic themes of the eastern plains.
