The live music and film take over this June the Mariano de Cavia square, in the El Gancho neighborhood of the Aragonese capital, with the Gamusine project, promoted by the Zaragoza City Council, through the Municipal School of Music and Dance and the Casco Comprehensive Plan Historical.
On Thursdays June 9, 16 and 23, there will be three sessions each consisting of a mini-concert and the screening of a film, in summer cinema format. A hundred chairs will be available to enjoy this fun-informative activity.
The musical performances will begin at 9:30 p.m. and the movies at 10:00 p.m., the Consistory has indicated in a press release.
In the first session, this Thursday, June 9, the film ‘La Jota’, by Carlos Saura, will be screened, with the participation of teachers from the municipal school itself, such as Fernando Gabarrus, Begoña García, José Luis Seguer ‘Fletes’, Alberto Artigas and Miguel Angel Bern. As a preliminary, there will be a musical intervention by the Center’s Folklore Department.
June 16, students from the Department of Modern Music will perform various songs from the film ‘The Commitments’, which will then be shown in the summer cinema. Finally, on June 23, The film ‘The boys from the choir’ will be screened, with a previous musical performance by choir and orchestra by the Department of Classical Music.
