In Germany, 1,345 new coronavirus infections have been identified in the past 24 hours. That is almost a thousand fewer than the day before, when there were 2,297 new cases. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the German equivalent of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), reports this on Sunday.
On Friday, 1,900 people were infected, on Thursday the counter was 2194 infections. In total, the lung virus has been diagnosed in 271,415 people in Germany.
The death toll as a result of the lung virus has risen to 9386 with two deaths, according to figures from the RKI.
