LIVE | More than 10,000 new infections France | Inland

In France, 10,569 new coronavirus infections were detected in one day, the newspaper Le Parisien reports on Sunday. The day before, there were 2,929 more new infections, which was a day record.

In the past few days, 3,894 corona patients have been hospitalized, 41 more than Saturday. Just like Saturday, 593 people ended up in intensive care.

Since the start of the pandemic, Covid-19 has already killed 31,585 people in France.

Almost 2000 infections in the Netherlands

In the Netherlands, 1,849 new infections were detected in one day. That is slightly less than a day earlier, when the counter stood at 1,898 new cases, the central government’s corona dashboard reports Sunday.

The number of new cases steadily increased last week and records were broken daily. On Friday there were the most, 1,977 new infections in 24 hours.

In the past 24 hours there were 341 new cases of illness in Amsterdam, 329 in The Hague and 199 in Rotterdam.
