Just a reminder: the Hollywood process between the two actors started with an opinion piece according to Heard in the American newspaper The Washington Post† In it, she wrote that she had been a victim of domestic violence. The name of her ex-partner Johnny Depp did not appear in it, but the piece caused him a lot of damage, according to the actor. For example, he lost film roles and public opinion turned against him. Depp is therefore suing Heard for $50 million for defamation. Heard tried to get the case dropped, but couldn’t. She decided to sue for $100 million in defamation because Depp’s lawyer had called her a liar in the press. The two charges are being heard during this trial.

Former supermodel Kate Moss (48) was on the witness list on Wednesday. She had a relationship with Depp in the 90s and was called upon to clarify the rumor that the actor pushed her down the stairs at the time.
Ben Chew, Depp’s attorney, asked her about a vacation in Jamaica and asked if anything significant happened during that vacation. “There was a rain storm. Johnny left our room first. When I left the room, I slipped and fell down the stairs. I hurt my back then. I screamed because I was in pain,” Moss said. “Johnny ran back and carried me to the room. Then he provided medical attention.”
Chew: “Did he push you?”Moss: “Nee.”Chew: “Did he ever push you down the stairs?”Moss:“He never pushed, kicked or threw me down a flight of stairs.”Chew: “Have you ever testified at a trial before?” Moss: “Nee.”
With that, the questioning of Kate Moss was over after a few minutes. Amber Heard’s team decided not to ask any questions.
Depp speaking
A little later, Johnny Depp himself took a seat on the witness stand again, at the request of Heard’s lawyers. The actor received questions about the film, among other things Aquaman, and whether he effectively helped Amber Heard get a part in that. “There may have been a problem because the film was going to be shot in Australia (why didn’t he clarify, ed.), and Warner Bros. was concerned about that. So I went to talk to them. Amber eventually got the part, I guess I’ve allayed their concerns.”
Heard’s claims that Depp took eight to 10 MDMA pills at once in Australia in March 2015 he dismissed as nonsense. “I’ve only taken MDMA six or seven times in my life. But so much at once, that never happened. Otherwise I would have been dead. I’m pretty sure of that.”
It was also about the finger injury he sustained in March 2015, again during his famous holiday in Australia. “Amber threw a vodka bottle at me as my arm rested on a marble counter,” he said. “The first bottle flew right past my head. The second hit my hand.”
Heard’s lawyers also asked Depp what it was like to listen to Heard’s testimony. “Insane,” he replied after a long pause. “It is insane to hear such appalling accusations of violence, sexual assault, which she attributes to me. I don’t think anyone enjoys turning themselves inside out and telling the truth, but sometimes you have to because it’s out of control.” He pauses again. “Terrible. Ridiculous. Humiliating. Ridiculous. Painful. Wild. Incredibly brutal, cruel and everything… false. All false. No one is perfect, certainly not, but I have never committed sexual assault or physical abuse in my life.”
