07.40 – Website coronatest.nl back in the air after malfunction

The technical malfunction of the coronatest.nl website has been resolved, GGD GHOR reports. Due to this malfunction, there have been problems with requesting a test result since Tuesday evening.

That disruption is over and people can log in again, view test results, schedule appointments for a test or vaccination and view scheduled appointments.

06.40 – French ‘corona pass’ mandatory from Wednesday

Adults who want to visit a major event or a cultural institution in France must be able to show a health card from Wednesday. The sanitary pass shows that the owner has been vaccinated against the coronavirus, tested negative or has recently recovered from Covid-19. From August, the pass is also mandatory in cafes, restaurants and some shopping centers.

According to a recent poll, 62 percent of French people support the measure, but there is also a lot of opposition. On Saturday, about 114,000 people demonstrated against the pass in Paris. The protests prompted the government to relax the rules slightly. For example, the sanitary pass will soon be unnecessary to gain access to shopping centers with a size of less than 20,000 square meters. According to Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire, this will help the business community and limit the negative consequences for entrepreneurs.

Minister of Health Olivier Véran said last week that young people aged 12 to 17 only need to use the pass from August 30, because the vaccinations for this age group started quite late.

According to the ANWB, Dutch people who go on holiday to France can use the CoronaCheck app to demonstrate that they are healthy. With the international QR code, France can see, among other things, when and with which corona vaccine travelers have been pricked. The yellow vaccination booklet can also be used.
