After the Champions League draw, it’s time for the Europa League-draw, with FC Barcelona obviously the most notable name. The Catalans have not made it through the Champions League group stage for the first time in 21 years and are going into the tube one hour later than planned: VoetbalPrimeur reports live.
In the intermediate round of the Europa League, every number two from the group stage is linked to one of the eight Champions League dropouts, including FC Barcelona. The winners of these eight diptychs report to the eighth finals, for which the Europa League group winners have already qualified.
Numbers three Champions League: RB Leipzig, FC Porto, Borussia Dortmund, Sheriff Tiraspol, FC Barcelona, Atalanta Bergamo, Sevilla, Zenit Sint-Petersburg.
Number two Europa League: Rangers FC, Real Sociedad, Napoli, Olympiakos Piraeus, SS Lazio, Sporting Braga, Real Betis, Dinamo Zagreb.
The winners of these eight diptychs report to the eighth finals, for which the Europa League group winners have already qualified.
Europa League group winners: Olympique Lyon, AS Monaco, Spartak Moscow, Eintracht Frankfurt, Galatasaray, Rode Ster Belgrado, Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham United.
The matches in the intermediate round are scheduled for February 17 and 24, the eighth finals for March 10 and 17. The draw for the eighth finals will take place on 25 February.
