The English city of Leicester with its more than 350,000 inhabitants has to be locked again by Corona. The number of infections with the virus is much higher there than in the rest of the country. Last week, Leicester had about 10 percent of all infections in Britain.

Schools have to be closed again, just like the shops that are not necessarily needed for daily shopping. It is also urgently not recommended to travel to and from the city, except for a necessary reason. Traveling in the city itself is also undesirable.

The city is outside the planned easing of national anti-coronary measures on July 4, British health minister Hancock stressed in parliament. He wants to review the situation in Leicester in two weeks.
