LIVE | ‘Do vaccinate pregnant women in risk groups’ | Inland

Pregnant women with health problems and pregnant women with a high chance of encountering corona patients because of their work, must be vaccinated against the corona virus. The Dutch Association for Obstetrics & Gynecology (NVOG) reports this Friday.

Pregnant women who work in acute care can, according to the NVOG, simply have themselves vaccinated, the association even recommends.

The GGD recently advised pregnant women not to be vaccinated, because not enough is known about the consequences. According to the GGD, there are no indications that it actually has adverse consequences.

Breastfeeding women can also get vaccinated according to the NVOG. “Future studies must definitively confirm safety,” says the NVOG site.
