LIVE | Daily number of deaths again below 2,000 Inland

In the United States, 1,883 people have died in the past 24 hours from the new coronavirus. Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore reports this. For the first time in three days, the number of daily deaths in the US drops below 2000. On Thursday, 2053 more deaths were reported.

In total, more than 64,700 people have now died of the lung virus in the country and more than 1.1 million infections have been diagnosed.

More than 3.1 million cases of infection are known worldwide and approximately 238,000 people have died from the virus.
