A nonagenarian, first person vaccinated in Spain
A 96-year-old resident of a retirement home in central Spain was the first person to be vaccinated against Covid-19 in the country on Sunday, according to images broadcast by national television.
Araceli Rosario Hidalgo Sanchez confided, with a smile, that he felt “nothing” when the vaccine was injected.
This lady with short white hair, a resident of the Los Olmos retirement home in Guadalajara, then gently stood up after putting on her black jacket and left on a walker.
A caregiver, Monica Tapias, working at the retirement home was then the second person in the country to receive the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine.
